Just Let People Be

Minding one’s business is one of life’s most oversimplified concepts.

In a world of drunkards, lunatics, psychopaths, idiots, impatient, irresponsible, impulsive, paranoid, moody, rage-filled drivers, arrogant and short-tempered people, minding your own business is nearly impossible.

These days, everyone is itching to give their two cents on how you live or how you screw up. It’s like they’re allergic to peace. They see you existing quietly and decide they must intervene. Post a gym selfie? “Oh, you’re obsessed with looks.”

It’s as if the world is populated with rookie life coaches fresh out of college, desperate for their first client.

Then there are the instantly offended, people whose hobbies include taking things personally and starting social media wars. They can’t resist stirring the pot, turning minor issues into conflicts and group chats into battlegrounds.

And let’s not forget the road-ragers who treat their Mazda Demios like Fast & Furious movie props. The social media trolls. The pedestrians who jaywalk like they’ve got nine lives and a death wish. Rappers starting beef because they don’t like another rapper’s shoes. Everyone’s in a rush, ready to honk, yell, or create drama just to pass the time.

The world is full of people with zero patience, and no matter where you go, someone will make sure your peace is disturbed. There’s no escape.

Life is chaotic. People lug around emotional baggage like snails hauling their shells. In this madness, the last thing anyone needs is unsolicited opinions. Everyone’s just winging it. So, if you feel that irresistible urge to meddle in someone’s life… take a deep breath or start a podcast instead.

Look, if it’s not your life, your relationship, your money, or your trauma, keep your nose out of it. Let people live their weird, messy lives in peace. If they want advice, they’ll ask.

Let people live. Let them fail and fall. Let them wear crocs with socks if it brings them joy. Let them post gym selfies and 50 blurry status updates. Let them believe in horoscopes because sometimes, all you need is a star to guide you.

It’s that simple.
